FAQs
FAQS about Emergency Dental Care IN Omaha
We hope this FAQ helps you feel more informed and at ease about visiting us for urgent dental care, so you can get relief and get back to feeling like yourself soon.
We work with most major dental insurance plans. If you have private dental insurance coverage, it’s likely we can apply it toward your emergency treatment. Our staff is happy to assist with filing your insurance claim to help you get the maximum benefit. Just note that we do not take Medicaid or other government-funded insurance plans for dental care. If you have any questions about whether your specific insurance is accepted, please feel free to contact us in advance with your plan information.
We will still treat you even if you don’t have dental insurance. You can pay for your treatment directly; we accept cash, credit, and debit. If you need financial assistance, we offer financing plans that break down your total cost into monthly payments, making things easier. Our team will work with you to find a way for you to get care — being without insurance shouldn’t stop you from addressing a dental emergency.
Not at Emergency Dental Care USA. A visit will cost roughly the same as at a general dental office. We don’t charge higher fees simply because your case is urgent or occurs after hours. Our pricing is based on the average dental fees in the Omaha area, making our costs comparable to those of other local dentists. Rest assured, we will provide you with an estimate of the charges before starting any treatment, so you know what to expect and can approve everything in advance.
Yes, you can. Our emergency dentists accept walk-in patients. If you have a dental emergency, you don’t need a pre-booked appointment – you can come straight to our office, and we will see you as soon as possible. While scheduling ahead can shorten your wait, we know that isn’t always an option in urgent situations. We make every effort to get patients out of pain as quickly as possible.
Yes – our office is open on both Saturdays and Sundays. In fact, we’re open seven days a week. We understand that dental problems can arise at any time, so we’re available from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., every day, including weekends. You won’t have to put off getting care just because it’s the weekend. Please keep in mind that our weekend slots can fill up quickly, so consider calling ahead or scheduling online if you can, to ensure you get an appointment time that works for you.
Yes – we offer payment plans to help make your care more affordable. Our Omaha location offers flexible financing options for patients who need to spread the cost of treatment over time. We work with reputable healthcare financing companies (like CareCredit and Sunbit, for instance), which can often approve you on the spot for credit to cover your dental work with manageable monthly payments. Some financing plans even feature no interest if paid within a certain promotional period. Of course, we also accept standard payment methods such as cash, debit, and credit cards. The bottom line is that we will help you arrange a payment method or plan that fits your budget, so you can receive treatment without financial stress.
Yes. In most instances, if you need an urgent tooth extraction or a root canal, we can take care of it on the same day as your visit. When you arrive at our Omaha office, the dentist will examine you and take X-rays. If the diagnosis indicates that a tooth needs to be pulled or a root canal is required to save the tooth, we can usually begin the procedure immediately. Many patients who arrive with a severe toothache get relief that same day — either by having the troublesome tooth removed or by having the root canal therapy started right away. Only in uncommon cases (for example, a very complex situation or a major infection that needs to be treated first) would we postpone treatment or refer you to a specialist. Our intention is to address your dental emergency during the initial visit whenever possible.
We are not a 24/7 dental office. Our office has extended hours (we’re open until 9pm most days) but we do close overnight. Generally, we operate from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day of the week. We typically won’t start new treatments after about 8:00 pm, to ensure our team can finish treating everyone by closing time. If you have a dental emergency in the middle of the night when we’re closed, you can book an appointment online for early the next day, or give us a call when we open in the morning, and we’ll arrange to see you as soon as possible.
