A crown covers a damaged or cracked tooth to restore strength, shape, and appearance.
Most final crowns take two short visits; we place a same-day temporary crown to protect the tooth while the custom crown is made.
Same-day Help We Provide
- Lost or loose crown: Bring it with you. If intact, we can often re-cement it the same day; if not, we’ll place a new temporary crown and plan the permanent replacement.
- Broken/chipped crown: We’ll evaluate, smooth sharp edges, and repair or replace; many minor issues are handled same day.
- Tooth hurting under a crown: We’ll check for decay, fracture, or bite issues and stabilize the tooth (core build-up or temp) so you can chew comfortably.
What to expect
Quick exam and X-ray, numb as needed, clean the tooth, then re-cement, repair, or place a well-fitting temporary. For a new crown, we’ll take an impression/scan, shade-match, and schedule a short follow-up to seat the final. You’ll leave with clear after-care and up-front costs.
If a crown falls off
Avoid super glue; keep the crown clean in a container, chew on the other side, and call or walk in as soon as possible.
