Same Day Root Canals in Cape Coral

Root canals sound painful and scary, but modern medicine has made the process much easier for patients.

A dentist explains a root canal therapy procedure

A severe toothache, lingering hot/cold sensitivity, or a pimple-like bump on the gum are signs the nerve may be infected. A root canal stops the infection and relieves pain. Modern anesthetics makes it comparable to getting a filling in terms of pain and discomfort.

How we get you out of pain today

  • Same-day access. Call or walk in. We’ll take an X-ray, numb the area, clean the canals, and place a protective filling so you can get back to normal fast. Many root canals are completed in one visit; some need a second visit based on tooth anatomy or infection level (expect ~90 minutes per appointment).
  • Crown or final restoration. A crown is often recommended after a molar/premolar root canal to protect the tooth. If a crown is needed, we’ll place a temporary crown while we prepare the permanent crown. Once completed, we’ll schedule a short follow-up for placement of the final crown.
  • Antibiotics aren’t a cure. Pills alone can’t fix a tooth infection. Definitive dental treatment such as a root canal or tooth extraction are the most common solutions. Antibiotics may be used in cases with systemic signs or spreading infection.

Why saving the tooth is worth it

Root canal treatment has high success rate (around 83–93%), letting you bite and chew comfortably with your natural tooth.

How much does a root canal cost?

The type of tooth (front vs. molar), complexity, prior treatments, and the need for a crown will all affect price. This is why we need to have an exam and x-ray to give pricing. After your exam an x-ray, we will show you options and costs.
